How To Limit Friend Request On Facebook

Facebook has a limit of 5000 friends per user. What that means is, you cannot have more than 5000 friends on Facebook.There's only the limit of having 5,000 friends and the unknown limit of friend requests you can send. The former is there because nobody can have so many active connections (if you're a public person wanting to be in touch with your fan base, you should use a Page not a profile).

I could understand what they were saying and it’s simple. Obviously, i cannot add more than 5000 friends on Facebook which means my account has reached the friend limit. Apparently, i cannot accept any more friend request.

 

It used to be that Facebook users had a limit of around 1,000 friends requests in queue and 5,000 confirmed friends.

 

Insiders (i.e. Facebook employees) say there were technical issues with bigger accounts, which is why they used to limit them.

 

However, these days, Facebook has leveled up its scaling game and no longer needs to enforce a hard Facebook friend limit.

 

Previously, Facebook tried to encourage “Pages” as an alternative to collecting more than 5,000 friends. But there was no denying the emotional difference between connecting with a person’s account and their “brand page.” So hopefully this update pleases a lot of users!
